Sustainability Fund

Aster Foundation has been incorporated as charitable foundation.

We are committed to growing this Foundation within the next years. It will allow environmental non-profit groups access to funding independent of government priorities. This fund will be supported through profits from the consulting services, and through fundraising from sources not currently accessible to most provincial ENGO’s. In addition, members of Aster Group can invest into this trust fund.

The purpose of the Aster Foundation are:

1. To receive and maintain a fund or funds and to apply all or part of the principal and income therefrom, from time to time, for environmental work to qualified donees as defined in subsection 149.1(1) of the Income Tax Act (Canada).
2. To protect the environment for the benefit of the public by implementing practical projects and programs that mitigate and reduce the impacts from climate change, reduce environmental pollution, and increase ecosystem protection.
3. To advance education by providing public workshops, lectures, presentations, and other programs on environmental pollution, climate change, and ecosystem conservation.
